This event is FREE so stop on by and check in at the Gazebo.

The 5th annual scarecrow contest will partner ideas from the community with business to create fun and interesting scarecrows. They will then be placed around town for everyone to enjoy.

The contest officially goes from October 6 to the 9th, but most scarecrows will probably be up through Halloween.

For $6 you get pancakes, sausage, and french toast and it’s always good.

Kids 5 and under are free. Plus they get to hang out with firemen and learn about fire safety.

It’s free and open to kids 0 to 6 years old and has lot so fun activities. Such as:

• Meet the Carver County Sheriff’s Office
• Meet Ridgeview Ambulance Services
• Ride in a Firetruck
• Meet Sparky the firehouse dog.
• Meet McGruff the police dog.

The rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and it’s the first time a Professional Rodeo has come to the fairgrounds.

The fireworks will be shot off from the island again this year which means there are a lot of good viewing spots.

- Or most anywhere on the lake
