A few weeks ago I traveled down county road 10 and it was pretty nice. All paved, but I still had to swerve around a few road closed signs, but you could make it. A few weeks later and all the road closed signs are gone and it’s once again open for business.

County road 10 now has wider shoulders, all new pavement and, close to Waconia, a whole new layout.

So if you’ve been missing county road 10 all summer, you get an early Christmas present as it is open for traffic!

Thanks to JP, I found out that Nancy’s Landing closed. It was the fanciest place in town that I knew of and was a shock to me when I heard.

Their last day was September 29 and the new owners are already working on getting the Lobster Shack up and running. The new-england style restaurant will be an interesting addition to Waconia. I’m not a big seafood fan, but I’m already very intrigued with the idea of the Lobster Shack.
